If you are a girl member or adult volunteer, we would like to know how Girl Scouting has impacted your life. Share your successes, how you are making a difference in your community, brag about what your troop is doing, announce a service unit event or just pass along a great Girl Scout photo or story -- email it all to
info@gssn.org.
We want to hear from you!
My daughter and I (dad too) are Girl Scouts from Orange County CA (SU-RT3, Troop 1126) - we are also Geocachers/Waymarkers. Geocaching = "high-tech hide and seek" & Waymarking = "is finding a physical location on the planet marked by coordinates (latitude/longitude) and contains unique information defined by its waymark category. An outdoor maze category, for example, could contain information like price of admission and days of operation, while a statue category may describe the artist's medium and date of dedication."
ReplyDeleteLast week we were in Tahoe and came to the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada JUST to see and "mark" the Party Room (our Camera cables are missing right now so we can't pull pictures from the camera) - but the Party Room Re-Decoration is a GOLD AWARD PROJECT from one of YOUR Ambassador Girls! We will add it very soon.
In Waymarking there is a NEW category for Marking Girl Scout Gold Award Projects!!! We started the category - it had to go thru peer reviews and site approval - but, we felt that if the Boy Scout Eagle Project Category already existed - GOLD should too -
Check out www.waymarking.com (join) and add other projects like the one at the museum...
